GTL has long standing relationships with its producer-partners in South America and maintains a local office and manager in Argentina. Suppliers that are represented by GTL have undergone close scrutiny and are considered to be at the forefront of their respective fields of production. All of our producer -partners export with great success to the most demanding markets such as the United States, Great Britain and the European Union. As a direct importer, GTL is able to offer previously unavailable culinary and oenological treasures at extremely competitive prices. Viña Alicia is a small jewel of a winery located in Luj¨¢n de Cuyo, Mendoza. The winery is owned by Alicia Mateu de Arizu, wife of celebrated winemaker and agronomist, Alberto Arizu, owner of 105-year-old Luigi Bosca, and Rodrigo, one of her three sons. The other two sons, Gustavo and Alberto, work with their father Alberto Arizu at the family's other, higher profile winery, Luigi Bosca.
Alberto Arizu has owned and farmed some of Mendoza's oldest vineyards for nearly three decades, using the grapes for some of the top wines in the Luigi Bosca line. But about 25 years ago, he and his wife began experimenting with what they call micro-vinification, making wines from not just single vineyards, but selecting special blocks within vineyards to make very high-quality, small production wines. These experiments grew into Viña Alicia, a winery focused on producing small amounts of extremely high quality wines from choice vineyard blocks.
